Plumber/Pipefitter-Welder/HVACR Technician Quad Citites

Become an apprentice in the construction piping trades. 3 different career paths. (Pipefitter-welder, Plumber, HVACR Tech) 5 year apprenticeship. Start out as a 1st year apprentice (like an E-1, work your way up) make around $17.00/hour plus benefits (2 pensions, 401K, health care, dental, eyes, etc.). Raises every year until Journeyperson status achieved 5 years later --- $41.70 per hour, plus same benefits. PLUS, YOU get to keep your GI bill benefits! Paid to you directly! ($1,470 for month 1 through 6, $1,176 for month 7 through 12, $882 for months 13 through 18, $588 per month for rest of apprenticeship) In addition to your wages from on-the-job hours. Also --- Union brotherhood/sisterhood camaraderie --- not quite the same as military but similar.


Become an apprentice in the piping trades. Use your hands AND your mind to make a good living. You will learn skills that will be yours and be transportable for the rest of your life. Need to be good at Math and Science and you will apply it daily. Construction -- so, some confined spaces, tool use, elevated work spaces, below ground, outside, inside, hot/cold/wet/dry, etc. Earn a good living by installing/working on systems that EVRYONE wants/likes/needs. (Water/Sewer/Heat/AC, etc.)



Requirements

GED or high school diploma required. Need some documents (birth certificate,photo ID, DD-214, etc). Step 1 --- You will need to apply https://lu25.org/training/application-form.html . Step 2 --- Take math/mechanical aptitude test --- usually around March 1st each year. Need to get a 70% or above on that test. Step 3 --- in person panel interview --- usually around May 1st. We normally hire around 30 apprentices per year in June/July. One test and interview session per year. Study guides are availble for purchase to help with test.
