Commercial Roof Sales

Commercial Roof Sales: This job is heavily involved in building relationships with clients selling service work, roof maintenance, and roof replacement. Track public bid work and grow relationships in the private sector.


Force Roofing Systems is one of the fastest growing roofing contractors in the Middle, TN market. Our projects range in scope from large-scale new construction to complete tear-offs, re-roofing and renovations of existing building exteriors, and on-going roof maintenance, inspection, and repairs of all major commercial roof systems.


The Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the achievement of the company’s revenue growth goals and responsible for developing new business for the company through relationships and connections. Thie role will provide new Business Development and Account Management Services for local accounts coupled with the continued development of reoccurring revenue sources for roofing projects. This person will serve as a resource to clients, offer solutions-based recommendations on company owned and leased properties and grow the Regional/Local client base.

Experience, Skills, & Capabilities


· Must have 3-5 years’ experience in Construction & Commercial Roofing Sales



  • Cultivate relationships with building owners, property management groups, general contractors, and Government purchasing agencies.

  • Understand job costing, budgets, & pricing

  • Sell Building maintenance (service work), roof replacements, and roof installs.


· Strong computers skills and good spreadsheet analytical skills



  • Ability to provide customer service and operational marketing support

  • Ability to grow and develop and lead special improvement projects

  • Meet with the Estimating team weekly to follow up on proposals.

  • Conduct site visits, for selling purposes, of existing, BUR, Modified Bitumen, EPDM, TPO, PVC and metal roof systems.

  • Be the roofing resource as Account Manager and will provide alternatives, recommendations, and budget pricing - repair, restoration and replacement options depending on several factors.

  • Follow up with our regional clients to review proposals and provide suggested PM programs, repairs, replacements, and asset management services to close sales opportunities in markets and develop long term relationships with key accounts.

  • Provide technical expertise and cultivate relationships with decision makers, Property Managers, and Facility Representatives.

  • Utilize database of completed projects and existing customers; to establish a local presence with national & regional locations to provide offerings.

  • Establish new accounts by planning and organizing work schedule to call on prospects within a 125 mile radius of the office.


Functions and Requirements:



  • 2-3 years commercial roofing experience

  • 3 years sales experience in similar industry

  • Fundamental knowledge of commercial roof systems and repair applications- highly preferred

  • Proficient in MS office and CRM software applications

  • Written and verbal communication and time management abilities

  • Organized person and enjoys working outside

  • Lift and climb up and down a 30 ft. ladder or many flights of stairs

  • Capable of receiving instructions and clearly explain problems and solutions to customers

  • Abide by all job-site safety requirements, including PPE, and fall protection

  • Must be team orientated and be willing to perform based on the company’s Core Values

  • A valid driver’s license and insurable driving record

  • Must be able to climb ladders & core roofs

  • Extended work hours during peak seasons

  • Requires minimal physical activity performing activities of a productive and technical nature; potential exposure to outdoor weather conditions of extreme heat and extreme cold
