Northwest Indiana Roofer Union is accepting Applications
The United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers 26 has 300 members serving Northwest Indiana. Union Roofers from Local 26 work hard to be the most efficient at their trade and demand the absolute best quality and service at every job. The Roofers and Waterproofers Local 26 offers members varied opportunities for education and training in such fields as organizing, health and safety and collective bargaining. Empowering our members with skills that advance the roofing industry and that keeps Northwest Indiana growing is our purpose.
To those persons interested in applying for Roofers and Waterproofers Local 26 Apprenticeship Program, applications will be taken on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursday (except holidays) between the hours of 8a.m.- 12p.m. at Roofers Local 26, 25 W 84th Ave. Merrillville, IN 46410.
Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, must have a pronounced aptitude and interest in this craft, and be physically able to perform the work that will be required. Must have a valid driver’s license, with a good driving record, and have a valid social security number. Applicant must be able to pass a (BCRC) drug screen, CDL physical, and physical lift test upon request. A CDL is required so that our members are fully capable of hauling material to and from the job sites.
